Daniel Colligan

Hello, and welcome to my website! I have a Ph.D in sociology from the CUNY Graduate Center. My dissertation proposed a novel thesis explaining the origins of industrialization in Germany. I have peer-reviewed articles deriving from my dissertation research published in Central European History and the Journal of Historical Sociology / Sociology Lens. Another article of mine is slated to appear in the second edition of Case Studies in the Origins of Capitalism and I have several other manuscripts in progress. I have written for a broader audience in Jacobin about capitalism, European history, demography, US history, and far-right social movements.
